Richard Harvey retires

Tuesday, July 05, 2011

It is with mixed feelings that we farewell our director and business development manager Richard Harvey this week.

We are sad to see him go but he is retiring on a high note, ending his 48-year engineering career during a period of strong growth for MIPAC.

While our board, our team and our clients will miss him, we are delighted that he is now able to fully engage in some of his favourite activities, particularly fishing.

On behalf of everyone at MIPAC, I thank Richard for all of his hard work and commitment to the business and wish him a very enjoyable retirement.

Don't Overlook DCS or PLC for Optimisation

Tuesday, July 13, 2010
MIPAC is often approached by customers seeking solutions to improve stability of their flotation circuits or to make their SAG mills operate at optimum capacity. A common reaction when things are not running at their best though is to purchase new software or systems.

MIPAC's Andrew Thornton has had lots of experience that proves advanced control strategies can be built using your current DCS or PLC.

In many cases, he believes that processing operations can avoid the need for additional capital expenditure and simply apply some optimisation strategies to get more out of existing plant.
