| Norske Skog Albury Paper Mill - Upgrade all measurement and automation systems |
|
I/O: 15,000
MIPAC has been engaged by Norske Skog to upgrade all measurement and automation systems across the entire site. The scope includes design, procurement support, configuration, contractor supervision, commissioning and startup support and the project will run over a number of years. Consolidation of control system types to facilitate central control of the plant is a fundamental aim of the project.
After consideration of various options, the Metso DCS was chosen for the plant wide system and MIPAC is now replacing all existing systems with the Metso in a phased approach. A feature of the new system will see MIPAC's high level alarm minimisation strategies and advanced sequencing techniques used in a Metso system for the first time.
