Mipac, an OSIsoft Partner, recently delivered a presentation at the OSIsoft PI System Roadshow 2014 in Brisbane about how the PI System can determine process improvements.
The paper, presented by Mipac Business Development Manager Darren Hill, argued that plant managers need to harness plant information from systems they already have before making process improvement decisions.
“For example: a mine site used operational analytics to qualify an investment of $1.2 million in process improvements. This evidence-based decision increased recovery to generate more than $15 million per annum,” Darren says.
“Mipac’s PI System experts can enable clients’ technology and show them how to discover and then use data to their advantage.
“It is difficult to prioritise and realise process improvements without validated evidence to support the decision making process.”
