The Mipac story
Our mission is to provide high-quality solutions to enhance the operational performance of mine sites and improve our clients’ productivity, safety and efficiency.
Since our humble beginnings as a small team of passionate engineers who wanted to make a difference, we’ve been rolling up our sleeves and tackling problems with real world experience.
While industrial automation and engineering are at the core of what we do, our expertise also includes the latest innovative enhancements in digital technology – from Advanced Process Control to data visualisation and analytics and cybersecurity to Mining 4.0 consulting.
Today, we have team members spread across 3 offices in Brisbane, Perth and Tucson – as well as a presence in Vancouver – and are proud of our ever-growing track record of global projects.

The AVEVA World event held in San Francisco from 23-26 October 2023 brought together the industrial community to explore the latest trends and advancements in industrial software. With a focus on engineering smarter and operating better, the event offered a vibrant platform for learning and networking.
From September 25-29, Mipac’s Operations Manager Brian Forrester and Lead Senior EI&C Systems Engineer Len Walker joined delegates from around the world at the PERUMIN 36 Mining Summit in Arequipa, Peru.
Andrew Hislop is a Process Control Engineer with a background in pharmaceuticals and explosives manufacturing. Now working on some of Mipac’s biggest projects on the African continent, we sat down with him to find out more about his career journey, the kinds of projects he’s working on and the things he’s learnt since joining Mipac just under two years ago.
